First Half of the World Poker Tour Season XII Schedule Released

Is this really going to be the 12^th season of the World Poker Tour? Has it really been 12 years since Gus Hansen burst onto the poker scene and ushered in the LAG generation? Apparently so, considering the first half of the schedule for Season XII of the WPT was released this past week by the World Poker Tour.

There are some new stops on the WPT, with the tour heading to some far-flung destinations like South Korea and St Maartens, as well as the usual cadre of tournaments like the Legends of Poker, Borgata Poker Open, and Grand Prix de Paris. The WPT will also be returning to Montreal during Season XII, after two well-attended stops north of the border during Season XI.

So far the WPT has announced 12 stops on the main WPT tour, beginning with the opening tournament of Season XII in Cyprus. The WPT has also announced 10 stops on the Regional and National tours. In addition to the schedule the WPT also announced that it has renewed its deal with Fox Sports for three more years, which means poker fans will continue to have plenty of new poker tournaments to watch for years to come.
